Season 5 Live Shows have begun and we wanted to start the night off with some fun and glitz. I had such a great time performing with FloRida. We wanted to put a modern twist on the Gatsby era and I love what we did to achieve that. To balance that we wanted the chair look to be simple, modern and elegant.

Celebrity Hairstylist David Babaii starts off the “live” season 5:
episodes of The Voice by creating Christina Aquilera’s classic Hollywood
A-Line Bob with a contemporary twist. For David, the inspiration was
Christina’s sizzling new look. Her mega talent, gorgeous face and
dazzling personality calls for full blown out glam.

To achieve, David first cut a classic A-Line bob to add a more dramatic
contour to her style. After shampooing and towel drying, David added a
small amount of mousse to the root area only for lift and volume leaving
the ends free to move during her performance and shows judging process.
Next, he blow dried her hair with a T3 blow dryer and large round brush
adding movement and swing to the ends. To finish, he bumped the ends
under slightly with large barrel curling iron and misted lightly with

Celebrity Stylist Simone Harouche:
For Monday night’s first love show, we needed to bring it!!
For her performance with FloRida, we were inspired by the cabaret and
roaring 20s element of set direction and design. We wanted to mirror
those style elements with Xtinas’s wardrobe, but give it a modern more
current feel. Xtina wore a crystal catsuit by Saint Laurent, with
Giuseppe Zanotti crystal heels with a custom tux jacket and black bowler

For the chair look, we wanted to go with a clean and sexy look that was
all about showing off Xtina’s fresh new look. She wore a cream knit dress
by Versace, with Christian Louboutin crystal heels and jewels from
Roseark boutique, LA.

Hope you all love tonight’s looks… Be sure to tune in tomorrow night for another set of great looks!
