Simone Harouche – Wardrobe Stylist

Tonight we were channeling a retro Marilyn look. We thought it would be beautiful to do a soft retro glam look with some pastel feminine color. The pink trench coat by House of CB and faux fur shrug was perfect for the look we were trying to achieve.

Pink silk trench by House of CB
Faux fur stole from Palace costumes
Pink stone ring by Roseark
Gold diamond ring by Carbon and Hyde
Diamond earrings by 14 karats BH
Boots by Christian Louboutin

Hope you love tonight’s look! xo

Inspiration: “Modern Marilyn”

I started with wet hair and I applied volumizing mousse to the whole head, blow drying the hair with a large round brush in large sections to amplify the volume. A gentle yet smooth blow out, this will be the base for the finale look. Once all the hair is dry, take a small 3/4 size curling iron and start to wave curl small sections from the top, each section is sprayed with hair spray and clipped in place with a pin curl type, working your way all around.

The whole head is to be done exactly the same – same sections, same setting spray, same everything for final consistency. Let the hair cool down for 20 minutes, take all the clips out and using a wide tooth comb the hair gently, now using your hands start by gathering the hair backwards and using long straight pins and bobby pins start to pinning in it place close the roots to lock in place. Make sure the hair stays voluminous, yet keeping the curl effect. Do not pull too hard, be gentle with the hands while gathering the hair. The overall volume on the top sides and center crown must be ample and luxurious yet effortless. Work the shape and using your hands and flex hold hairspray as you go around the head, let the flyaways fall around the face for an effortless finish.

Xtina’s look tonight was super modern Marylyn Monroe!

On her eyes we used warm bronze tones and added a little glitter to add some sparkle!

With pinky cheeks and a beautiful glow!

Finished the look with an ombré lip using a deep wine color and a pop of magenta on the center of the lip which adds a beautiful effect!
