Billboard: BIONIC Is 'The Best Mainstream Pop Album Of The Year"
JULY 6, 2010, 11:20 am
We may have love affairs with all kinds of gimmicky divas, but it takes Christina Aguilera to remind us that singing really matters. That's not to say the pop star's latest release, "Bionic," is all about her voice, a muscular acrobat that's become more elegant with age. Combine it with the inventive work of a diverse cast of producers and you've got the best mainstream pop album of the year thus far.

I love this CD front to back...I don't want to overstep here...but everyone wants the next "Thriller" I was there for that release and every attempt by artists there after. This is the first time I feel like I have it. So many different vibes but all cohesive. The first tracks a continuous high energy romp through the kingdom of pop dance and electric vocals, sweetly vibing into a few tracks that highlight the amazing voice that backs the catchy foot tapping singles. I'd like to see every song as a single. Then like a good live show we get a one, two, three bang with "My Girls", "I hate boys", and one of my favorites "Vanity" I can't help but smile and move when I hear that track. Everyone I talk to, I simply say I love it and give it a listen. Happy to say no one has corrected me yet. Even one listener who wasn't sure after his first listen, took a second listen and hasn't stopped listening since. I never write about anything or anyone. I just had to give me two cents for Christina (XTINA) I love this disc!!! And I'll put it on for everyone to dance tap and smile to!
