If an Angel, swift and fair,
would jump at you out of thin air
and tell you: "Heaven's Lottery
now grants you three wishes free!"
What would you choose and crave
out of Heaven's Safe?
Your choice - although imaginary -
tells you a lot - if you are wary -
about yourself, about your needs;
where your heart 's whole - and where it bleeds...
While pondering, I heard her say:
"Remember, though, you, too, one day
will leave this rock and end your session;
no luggage service for possession...!"
So I scrapped what I was thinking,
those heaps of dough and jewels blinking;
no worldly treasures pass this test...
and when about to find what's best,
the Angel interjected:
"Often it's neglected
that too much of anything
will not aid but curb your wing!"
"OK!", I thought, somewhat dismayed,
a chance like that has to be played:
"Dear Heaven, help me that I pick
something that will do the trick!"
Suddenly I heard me say
- and I wonder to this day -
whence they came from - who dispatched -
the words that fin'lly made it "matched"!:
"Send some hope to those without;
send some trust to those in doubt;
send some rays of Heaven's Light
to all those in desperate fight!"
Life's a riddle, Life is strange...
may just be a shooting range
to test your weapons, hone your skill
for the day... when count it will...
