Support The WFP In Helping Pakistan

In the wake of the worst monsoon flooding to hit Pakistan in over 80 years, WFP and its partners are working to reach over 2.5 million people with emergency food aid. A series of airlifts have begun to deliver relief supplies to communities isolated by the floodwaters. Show your support by visiting the WFP official site and see how you can help those in need. Human suffering does hardly know any bounds, as it seems, with catastrophes titled Century-this or All-time-that seemingly re-occuring at a steadily increasing pace for the past two decades or so.
    There's no use to let that unsettle you... what should make you "jump on the barricades", though, would be if there were no one left around to feel the need to help and/or to show care.
    Both 'Paradise' and 'Hell' aren't always things distributed... they are things their relative inhabitants are capable to create for each other and/or themselves easily... Wink
    ... therefore, maybe one of the 40 US billionaires agreeing this week on donating (at least) half of their riches for welfare purposes will read this and may hopefully act accordingly, for one of the REALLY rich could pack a monetary punch like about half of Western Europe's ordinary citizens together...
    If they really do pull that off (without telling IRS that they please may deduct the donation amount off their tax debts...), I think one could not be wishing to live in any more interesting times (that phrase also happens to be a Chinese curse, as I once read):..
    "This is when we'll make it;
    or, this is when we'll break it!... "

    That is horrible news. I'm glad there are organizations like WFP that really do help out like this.
