I'm a fan (and you should be too) because of her extreme vocal ability, the images she uses, the heart and passion she puts on every song on every record, the courage she gives us to be ourselves and not to care what others think of us, how every album is different but still the same, her ever evolving voice and discography.
The new and old all show different parts of her persona, both on and off stage, Stripped was her breaking down all the things the first album made her and letting herself come out into the open and just being herself while creating inspiring ballads that reach your heart and create tears, the lessons on the record are relateable to any and everyone. It's a great record to listen to when you are going through a hard time in your life.
As time went on she evolved on her Back to Bacics album which expresses everything that comes along with love, its a happy record and fun that you can't help but think of love with. The old school beats and sounds and visuals transport you to a different era and it just makes it that much better.
Bionic- I can not say enough great things about the record! The visuals, lyrical content, audio, its just all around a great album with fun songs that you can party to before the party and still have you crying your eyes out. The lessons and messages on that album are so true and great that you can't understand them on the first listen of the record. It's kind of like you have decipher the coded messages in the songs- which I found kind of fun.
All her work is amazing- as I have said before- Burlesque just brings back the elements of Back to Basics with an edge.
Each and every record tells different stories, or parts of stories, in a unique way that very seldom is seen in the industry nowadays.
This is only part of the reason why I am a fan of hers.
Her personality, stage presence, how passionate she is when she talks about her work, never knowing what she is going to do next, her courage for singing "Im ok" live on Vh1 storytellers, that will always be the moment I was most proud of her. Her natural talent!
There's so much more I can say! Her fashion, risk taking, all of it together creates just a persona and artist that is uniquely extreme in some ways but so relateable in so many ways.
