Uhm, no, nothing like that at all. Just like on your previous post, assumptions, and yes, I did the same thing in my post just to show how it looks like. If you really care to have an opinion on what I'm saying about the subject that much, first look at the rest of the thread to know the context of what I'm saying. The song is not just a song we didn't get. In our opinion, it is a song missing from Bionic. Which is true. The only one of the three Ladytron tracks not released. So of course, since I haven't heard it, the only thing that I can appreciate about it, is that it is the missing song. As such, it is missing from my collection, I don't see how is that something selfish, when it is just a fact, and I don't see how else could I want or relate to the song, as I know nothing more about it? Or do you mean collecting music is selfish?

So there are two kinds of people, those who care to have it and those who don't. You say that those who care are selfish. Right. No one said RCA or anyone else is to blame for not getting the song, you made this up too. So all I'm saying in the post you quote is that it doesn't really matter, it's just something we, the people who ask for it, are obviously interested in. Feel free not to enjoy it if it comes out though, if that would be too selfish of you.

Now who's the one making assumptions? You assume that I just want to be mad and to seek revenge against all of my fellow Christina supporters. If you go back and read my post again, I specifically said all of the hype surrounding this song makes ME not want to hear it.

In my opinion, the reason there is such a demand for this song is because of the simple fact that Ladytron mentioned it. I'm sure if some of the other collaborators she has worked with in the past had talked about their songs that were scrapped from the albums, there would have been a demand for those too.

But I'm done with this subject. It's my opinion and it's how I feel and I will continue to appreciate what Christina and RCA have given us.

Stripped, we know it got beyond the original demo phase, that is enough. Huge difference between that and it being ready for release but it doesn't really matter. Actually we know Ladytron was told their three tracks chosen for the album were going on to the mastering phase, so I guess it is pretty likely it got mastered as well as the other two did.

BlueRose, you obviously just wanted to get mad about something. My post right before the first one of yours answers everything you said. Basically what happened is that you made a lot of assumptions about how we think and feel, got angry about it as if it somehow offends you and then felt glad we haven't got what we wish we'd get as if that is some form of revenge.
And then you go preach to us about being childish and selfish.
There are more important things going on in the world right now you know.

Of course I not only disagree with everything you say, but I actually see it from a totally different point of view, but just so you know it has nothing to do with the song being good or bad, and I enjoy Bionic more than ever, and couldn't care less when new music is coming out, so that is how spoiled and demanding I am.
And obviously there is good reason there is demand for this specific song and no other specific song we've never heard of before.
I wouldn't mind listening to more Bionic era Linda Perry or Stripped songs that never got out, but I'd never make a thread about them.

Not only that but everyone around seems obsessed with a song they don't even know if they would like or not. They think they would based on the info we got but it might not even be that great or they may have never mastered and edited it. May have made it o demo version only.

RCA is probably saving all the extra/bonus/unreleased songs for posthumous albums, though.

I believe most of us have surreal expectations, myself included, even compared to what is actually posted on here.
It is just the excitement of wanting to connect with Christina I think, which is good in the sense that she keeps us interested the way she approaches us on one hand, and on the other it is normal I think that there is this sense of too much expectation, because you know, she's global, and a diva, so it is kind of a thin line between seeing her as a human being or more like she's one and the same with her work and its promotion, being an icon and entertainer and all of that...

Of course Christina can't do things like just come out after a concert to meet fans. Thats why she has safe and secure M&Gs before concerts ect. BUT that still does not mean she is not capable of connecting with fans. When she was reading fan letters on ape radio it was a step in the right direction. It would not hurt her to post on the Official forums once in a blue moon. Even if its something she writes up and then has her assistant post for her. It would be nice. There are many ways to connect with her fans that are not dangerous to her. But Christina has and always will be a very shy and private person. So I try not to expect anything and just be happy for what we get. Once in awhile we get little gems like the Thank You Contest and the SMFM video. Just have to be patient

@Stripped713: I'm an avid Fanson too!! 14 and a half years and counting! You're absolutely right about them. I don't believe any other artist does for their fans like Hanson does. I've had the opportunity to meet them so many times because of how personable they are by hosting the walks before shows and coming out after the shows to meet fans. They're amazing guys and they really do care about their fan base.

However, they are an indie band now and not nearly as popular as they were in 1997 and certainly not as popular as Christina is now so I don't think it would be possible for her to do as much for her fans as Hanson does for their's. Not saying that Christina doesn't care about her fans, but could you imagine the chaos if she walked around barefoot with her fans with no security before a concert?!

I saw Rihanna on Ellen the other day and she was saying how her new album is dedicated to her fans because they were with her every step of the way in creating it. While she was in the studio, she was tweeting to them and getting their ideas and inputs about what they wanted to hear and what they liked and disliked. I thought that was really cool. However, I don't see Christina doing anything like that because she likes to keep her projects top secret and she likes to shock and surprise her fans. I just wish there was a happy medium where she could include us a little bit more without compromising the quality of her work.

Oh, I don't think Kimono Girl, or anything that electronic or at least in that very specific direction would fit the new project. And I believe we all agree on that. Which is why we never asked for it to be on the main body of the new album. Bonus material can be irrelevant to the main project though, right? Or if it only gets leaked intentionally, or if it gets officially uploaded on her YouTube channel, or anything really. Anything would do.

It might be part of this upcoming album, or be released like Little Dreamer but part of this new album too. *crosses fingers*

Ok your wording had me confused. I thought you meant for Bionic era. But still I have doubts. If Christina didn't released it by now I find it doubtful it will ever be released as a b side. I don't know if you got the memo but Bionic has been over for a LOOOOOOONNNGGGG Time. The era is over, the tour was canceled, the album was her weakest commercial success and she has long been moved on. She said over a year ago that Bionic was over and done with. The things you are suggesting would be the most stupid marketing choice Christina or her company could ever make. The BEST thing for her career right now is for her and her label to learn from the Bionic fiasco and resolve to make a stronger marketing and promotional strategy for this next album which is supposed to be out this spring. So NO I don't think Christina considers putting out a song that did not even make the final cut of a flopped album out to "finish up" an era that's been done and dead for over a year now.

I just would love to hear it, regardless. And I thought of the same thing Phantom. I'd hate for those tracks to only see the light of day when she passes....

So it is Christina who decides if she will ever release the song? I'm rather shocked she didn't release Kimono Girl honestly. I mean she released Little Dreamer as an iTunes exclusive, which hinted that she wanted to get those songs out there for her fans, but why snub Kimono Girl? Ladytron has mentioned it in interviews before as perhaps "too risky and not commercial enough" to release or what not, but tracks like those were the most praised on Bionic.

I've tried getting the word out to her and even RCA (who may relay the message) to no avail. I'm not sure if Christina even knows that a lot of us Bionic fans want the song. I'm just hoping she does and puts it as a bonus track on the new album or something. Why let a completed song like that go to waste?

I wonder if she will release it as a Deluxe track on her upcoming album? So many of us are dying just to hear it.

reminds me of that dog with a bone story.

There was this dog carrying a big bone he had found, in his mouth. As he was crossing a small bridge he noticed another dog walking beside him, so he turned to face the dog and noticed that dog had a bone too, so he thought to himself, why not carry home 2 bones instead of just one. He tried growling at the other dog, a really low growl at first, but the other dog growled back, he growled a little harsher, the dog growled back a little harher too. It made that little dog mad, so mad he started barking and yelping at the dog and the bone dropped from his mouth, it was then the little dog realized that the little sad dog facing him, that now had no bone at all, was his own reflection from the waters surface.

The little dog went home with his head hanging down in defeat, having learned that it was better to have been thankful for what he'd had whether than to have been too greedy and pried more from the jaws of another, and losing it all.

What we lose in asking for more when we have the motherlode is the sense of it all.
