Billboard: BIONIC Is 'The Best Mainstream Pop Album Of The Year"

As Christina continues to promote her new album BIONIC, critics are coming out to show their support for the creative and futuristic new project. Billboard has just proclaimed BIONIC to be the "best mainstream pop album of the year" and we couldn't agree more. Check it out:

This album is definitely one of the best ever, people need to quit comparing her to other people and just love her for who she is. Nobody took her place and she's not trying to be like anybody else, Christina has been around long enough to know what she wants to do musically so just enjoy it and stop picking it apart...

This review is one of the most honest reviews I've read, simply because they didn't look at other issues. Every bad review by so called 'real' critics, all wrote of other issues and not the album in itself, which makes them easily dismissive for me. I've noticed this tendency among critics today, even in the movie business, most critics get on their high horses and if they think a movie will fail at the box office, they will diss the movie, as they did with James Cameron award winning movie.
Avatar was panned by many critics before the movie was released and it was considered a sneak hit because the critics thought so little of it. They still doubted it even up until it won awards.
Critics are people too, with biases and you can easily pick up what those biases are by reading their words. They think Christina is a dark horse, just like with her first album, and they did until she won best new artist. There was no way she would win, so the critics thought. They are putting their bets on what they think are a sure winner so that they'll look smart, just like before.
It just makes her victories all the more sweet.

bionic is such a great album bad ass album I may add my boys and I been playing it non stop since the 8th when bionic was drop in stores.. Christina you are the best true artist out there you are amazingly beautiful your voice is magic you are so talented words cant express and it makes me sad and some what angry that the media was so cruel and reviews suck don't know why they been having it with you since the start but you are a champ and you always come up on top keep up what you doing because us fans truly love you cant wait for the next 10 years cuz I know you wont stop.... @la hobbita-thats a really good point u make. pretty soon all this negativity mite influence christina to not even want to do this anymore. she is human afterall. i just dont get why its her who is always attacked. i get that not everybody is gonna like xtina and im good with that. but my thing is people start questioning her relevance. we need her voice and vision and presence in the music biz these days. too many people get away with just barely there talent and its refreshing to have that talent in the mix. christina im with u all the way and i definitely support u. just do ur thing and please dont let the negativity get to u.

Amazing album and with the right singles/videos (such as "Lift Me Up", "Prima Donna" are my top picks and maybe "Bionic" and "WooHoo"!!) them the album will be a global hit!!!!

I'm pleased to see Billboard's praise for this album, although it seems that all the other reviews on that same page are positive. Thus, we're not necessarily dealing with a music critic as much as we are dealing with someone who seems to have a vested interest in raising music sales. I wish the true music critics out there had the ears for music they think they do. It seems that they had decided not to like Christina's album before it even came out. Christina seems to be everyone's favorite pop star to hate. On her first 3 albums, reviewers wouldn't stop howling about how she "oversings" (which is a bright red flag as to how musically uneducated these people actually are, as "oversinging" isn't a real musical term). Now, it seems that reviewers are throwing jabs her way again, claiming that she has decided to sell out and restrain her voice so as to sound more like her younger fellow pop stars who show a remarkable amount of vapidity and lack of vocal ability. If these reviews are any indication, it seems that Christina has helped to confirm with her new album that she will forever be the underdog. Sadly, they would probably fawn over her much more readily if she could hammer out a rock ballad on the piano the way Lady Gaga can. For some reason, a lot of people incorrectly link playing the piano to being a superior musician. Christina may be the first person in history to involuntarily go from being a pop superstar to an indie pop artist. In a world where improvement necessitates declining sales and popularity, there may be many more to follow.
And thank you billboards for recognizing a real artist Christina deserves all respect she is an icon to the music industry

honestly i dont even know why bionic got such bad reviews. trust me eventhough im a huge fan im willing to say if i liked or didnt like somethin christina did. but i really like bionic. and im not just saying that. and im not a fan who is gonna talk bad about another artist(gaga) becuz she is obviously workin hard. i will say i dont like how people act like gaga has been so original and how everybody tryin to imitate her crazy ass. but i digress lol all i know is that i will always be a fan of christina becuz i like people with TALENT! the music industry needs help bcuz if a trainwreck like KE$HA is allowed out the house let alone have a hit record. and the fact that xtina has to work twice as hard to get half the respect is the craziest thing to me!
