Honestly, I'm not even a fan. I just came here to comment on the whole anthem issue. Listen honey, you were GREAT! If I had known you were such a vocal powerhouse I would have already been listening to your music. I'm a musician. Your styling and technique--awesome. Perfect pitch. So, you lost your place and missed a line--so it was our national anthem--big deal. Vocally, you covered well. You weren't trying to be disrespectful. Let the complainers complain. I personally thought your performance was solid and very moving. Ignore the critics, honey, if you had remembered the words they would be buzzing about your vocal style or your facial expression or your eye color or your outfit. Trivial. Truth is, you rocked!

  • jenny80 02.10.2011

well all know you are an amazing singer, don't let the haters get you down Smile

  • sweetcaroline327 02.10.2011

  • we forgive you well at least i do <3 we all make mistakes ppl i mean come on now nobodys perfect.

  • koeym 02.10.2011

Words can’t express my concern for you, Xtina. Everyone makes mistakes and I understand why you made the mistake at The Superbowl. Just hope you could learn from it. Hope the criticism didn’t take you down. ALWAYS LUV U!

  • joanna040572 02.10.2011

christina, I can see if you missed a word or two but you missed a whole verse and you made up words in their place. Yes it is rough to sing in front of all those people and being on tv, but that is your job and why you get paid a lot of money. But the most important point is that is our country's song. If you were uncertain of the words, you should have practiced beforehand or had a cheat sheet. I understand s*** happens but next time something like this happens don't be so dramatic trying to cover it up. You just go on stage sing the song how it is suppose to be sung and not hallaring and I am sure you will do fine.

  • Poohdals 02.10.2011

I'm not going to lie, but I was disappointed. but the fact is that you rocked it anyways like a true performer. <3

  • suegibson 02.10.2011

To err is human - as the saying goes. Our society focuses too much on others mistakes. How many of this critical people can even recite the National Anthem perfectly let alone sing it in front of millions. In my opinion, it was sung from your heart and that's what matters.

  • Armanvocal 02.10.2011

We all still love you very much and will stand by you no matter what. You are the greatest singer in the world!

  • James 02.10.2011

Why are you even apologizing? This is stupid you did nothing wrong. You made a mistake.

  • FabioJackson 02.09.2011

I felt bad for you, we know you didn't do it on purpose or anything! I think you sounded great, I'm glad you have your fans to back you =) BEST WISHES!! ~Fabio

"If they say why?....why? Tell em that it's human nature." -Michael Jackson

  • its ok some people have done far than you did. what really stood out was how u handle it. it was kinda hard to tell u mess up, seeing as how u did show signs of weakness

  • bizzysim3 02.09.2011

"If they say why?....why? Tell em that it's human nature." -Michael Jackson

  • cj20 02.09.2011

Please don't be too hard on yourself. It's human nature to make mistakes. And it was so minor; it was just a few words, not the entire anthem. I've seen the harshness of the comments people are saying and it's so stupid. Because if it was them up there, they'd want people to let the mistake slide. People are such hypocrites. And it's so easy for people to criticize. Don't listen to them. To be honest, I didn't even notice that anything was missing from the song. You did great! And the important thing is that you did your best. Besides, it's not like you changed the meaning of the song; the world didn't end either. People just take stupid things like that too seriously because they have nothing better to do. They also like to hurt people to make themselves feel better. So just know in your heart that your fans thought you were great and that you are talented no matter what anyone tries to say. Because again, mistakes happen. No big deal. So keep on singing! ^_^

  • ol1457 02.09.2011

Girl, you rocked it! So one line got messed up..the rest was incredible! Your voice is like no other.

  • Susan 02.09.2011

Girl, you know there will always be haters. They are jealous of your abilities. You know you know the words and we know you can sing. It's okay. Don't read too much into it. Others just want their 15 minutes of time. Keep moving forward and don't beat yourself up about it. It doesn't change the fact that people love you.

  • Silje 02.09.2011

  • littlechip 02.09.2011

    Hi Christina,

    You are an amazing artist!
I am very impressed by your talent. Of course the love for this country came through. I am shocked, and that is why I am writing, that I am shocked by the arrogant and mean criticism, which is totally out of place, and criticising an genuine mistake in this way shows how incredibly disrepectful people can be.
All great artists become great through difficulties which they do not let hinder them from an overall goal.
Here's looking at you, so strong , so gifted!
You were amazing, amazing in Burlesque.I loved that you played a young woman who was stong willed, talented but a kind and a good person, It is a great role model and really inspiring.
    Bravo!

YOU ARE THE BEST OK

  • EJBronk 02.09.2011

Christina, I've always been a fan of your work and music, but on the biggest stage, the most people watching any tv event ever, you came out with a big fail. I'm sorry, it wasn't ok. Yes it may have been an accident, but you're a professional singer on a level that 99% of musicians will never be at. I hope this finds you well for I am just giving this statement as constructive criticism. Take it easy and best of luck in the future!

  • essens05 02.09.2011

Your performance for me was outstanding! Not because I'm a great fan of yours but because I believe that anyone who's gonna be given the chance to do the honors to sing a national anthem will absolutely feel a very extensive pressure, considering it is a huge event in the country! You did your best, Christina! I hope to see you here in Houston, TX! ☺

  • Quintoia 02.09.2011

I personally want to see all the dumb haters go to any football field and sing the national anthem better than Christina. She made a mistake so GET OVER IT!! Nobody on this earth is perfect. I support you and I am a true fan.

Color Christina! Choose a new style!
