In a similar fashion as I worked on the track list of Bionic, here are my versions of Stripped and Back to Basics (Disc 1 only, because Disc 2 is flawless anyway). Please, listen to them and tell me what you think.
Stripped
For Stripped I have kept the narrative intact, the way Christina wanted it. The story part, up to track 10 is just the same. Then the album has the "message" songs, followed by the closure of the Stripped concept (Get Mine, Get Yours-Dirrty-Stripped pt.2) and the ballads epilogue. I have kept the format exactly the same but I have made improvements crucial for the flow of the list:

02. Can't Hold Us Down (the 4:18 single version, not the 4:16 album version - turns out it makes a huge difference)

07. Loves Embrace Interlude (shouldn't this be Love's instead of Loves? a typo?)

15. Dirrty (the 4:45 Keeps Getting Better version, not the 4:58 album version)

Back to Basics Disc 1
I have only changed the place of one song in this set.
I have moved FUSS right after On Our Way and Without You, because before, the atmosphere grew really heavy after Oh Mother and FUSS to handle another couple of, more lightweight by comparison, ballads and then right after those ballads you simply couldn't take the more aggressive upbeat tracks that follow, whereas now On Our Way and Without You work as a relief from Oh Mother and FUSS opens the more dirty and R&B part of the album, which is where it belongs anyway:

I remember playing it the day I was leaving home to go to the University, at a different place...
I can totally see how Walk Away-Get Mine, Get Yours works, and it is weird how befitting it is, considering the songs are almost opposite!
oh I meant to say that I always switch stuff around too, in fact for Stripped GMGY is after Walk Away, because I have this concept in my head that marries those 2 songs.

Cruz means cross in spanish. Even though I believe Linda wrote Cruz, you know Linda's roots are in Brazil and it was about leaving home. As so many of Linda's songs tend to do, it shows how much in common those 2 have, their lives seem to crisscross each others, I'll explain what I mean.
When Christina left home and traveled alone because her mom could not travel with her, she left home very scared, so she took trinkets with her in a small wooden box her mom gave her and inside that box was a scarf with her mom's scent on it and a cross that her local priest gave her and which she slept with under her pillow every night. Christina used to have little night terrors because of the abuse she and her mom went thru, so night time was her worse times when she first went out on her own.
In fact, her first BF, the dancer, slept in the bed with her ONLY as a friend so she wouldn't 'suffer' at night. And their relationship got closer from there. It started out sweet and innocent though.
You should really listen to Stripped like this, it sounds so much more solid for the second half.
